PROFESSIONAL FRENCH FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION (C1-C2) - PART I

Registration for this course will be open from 21 July to 1 September 2026.

This advanced course is intended for candidates who wish to perfect their command of French and communicate confidently in international professional environments and within the context of the European Union institutions.

It is particularly suitable for candidates preparing for European selection procedures or seeking to develop the level of communication required in institutional environments.

Registration for this course will take place through the Yepso! website between 21 July and 1 September 2026.

The course will be confirmed once the minimum number of participants has been reached.

Information

The programme provides advanced French-language training focused on the European Union context.

Through live classes and specialist materials, participants will improve their linguistic accuracy, expand their institutional vocabulary and refine their ability to communicate in complex professional situations.

The course consists of 35 two-hour sessions, delivered from 17 September 2026, with a total of 70 teaching hours.

The course is structured as two consecutive programmes, designed to support gradual and flexible progression throughout the academic year.

Participants who complete the first programme will be able to continue their training through the second programme, gradually consolidating their language skills in the European Union context.

The first programme will run from September 2026 to February 2027, while the second will run from February to June 2027.

Registration for this first course does not include or automatically enrol participants in the following programme.

Classes will take place on Fridays, from 18:30 to 20:30 Brussels time.

The timetable will be subject to breaks for Christmas, Easter and public holidays.

Instructor

Fátima Gómez Cáneba is a practising freelance translator and interpreter, as well as a lecturer in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Salamanca. She graduated in Translation and Interpreting —French, German and Italian— in 2020 and completed her doctorate with Cum Laude distinction in 2025.

Her professional work combines the training of future translators for international contexts with research into communication accessibility and professional practice in literary translation and marketing.
