ENGLISH FOR EU CAREERS (C1)

This course is designed for candidates who already have an advanced level of English and wish to strengthen their professional communication skills in the context of EU careers.

Due to the small-group format, places are limited and the course will only be confirmed once a minimum of 5 participants has been reached.

Before joining the course, participants will complete a short oral interview with the instructor to confirm that the required C1 level is appropriate.

The course will begin on 7 September 2026.

Information

Working in the European institutions requires a high level of professional communication in English, both written and oral. This course is designed for candidates who already have an advanced level of English and wish to strengthen their communication skills in the context of EU careers.

The objective of the course is to help participants develop the language skills needed to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively in international, professional and institutional environments.

The course focuses on improving general and professional English proficiency, with particular attention to the types of written and oral communication commonly used in the EU institutional context.

Through practical exercises, interactive discussions and continuous language practice, participants will develop their ability to express ideas, structure arguments and interact confidently in professional situations.

The course will be delivered online in a small-group format, allowing for active participation, practical exercises, personalised guidance and continuous interaction with the instructor.

Schedule and format

The programme consists of 24 live online sessions of 1 hour and 30 minutes, representing a total of 36 hours of live training.

The course will be delivered over approximately three months.

Sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 18:00 to 19:30 Brussels time.

The small-group format is designed to encourage active participation and provide participants with regular opportunities to practise their written and oral communication skills.

The course fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. Monthly or partial payment options are not available.

The course will be confirmed once the minimum number of participants (5 participants) has been reached.

Places are limited due to the small-group format.

If no group is opened or if the candidate is not accepted following the level assessment, the course fee will be fully refunded.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the course may be postponed or cancelled. If the course is cancelled, all payments will be fully refunded.

Once the course has started, course fees are non-refundable.
